Dave first came to Spain in 2000 with a friend also called Dave. They both had their own properties in Granada to be reformed.
As they were doing their own work the local people asked them to do some work for them. This they gladly did and from there they formed D.D. Developments.
They soon found other tradesmen like carpenters, plumbers and electricians, which mad them in to a very professional company.
Unfortunately Dave's partner passed away and D.D. Developments moved to Málaga province.
Despite the toss of one of it's founder members, D.D. Developments is still doing very well, they only use fully qualified personal and so can guarantee you a first class job.

An article form the Original Trading Post - Gill and Luke's reform
As all our readers know we have been having a reform done to our property.
It all started on the 5th of December 2005; we had builders in who quoted us from 25,000 to 30,000 euros to complete the reform and 9 to 1O weeks to complete. We thought this was great, so they started work.
They started off very well but as time went on they seemed to he going slower and slower and also the price was going up and up!
and they kept saying was it will be finished next week!
Gill wanted to stop them but I kept on saying it will be done soon. It all came to a head when I popped into the bar next door to our offices and found one of the builders drinking.
We were paying him to drink!!! This was the last Straw, Gill and I were at the end of our tether.
On the Friday after this incident we laid two of them off and that left two to complete the reform.
On the following Wednesday we asked the other two to leave after a disagreement about some plastering.
From the day they started to the day they finished it took four and a half months and cost over 50,000 euros.
We were gutted and the reform was still not finished. As you all know we have a 9 month old baby and we could not believe they could treat a family like this.
The mistake we made was paying them weekly this was a bad idea, so was letting them buy the materials. They were charging us fuel money to go about 2 km up the road. at 10C a time! We did not find this out until I asked for all the receipts!
We were devastated but the work had to be finished so it took a few weeks to get other quotes in, many builders would not take the job because of the mess the other builders left us in.
Then I popped into DIY & Home Discounts in Coin on business when I noticed D.D. Developments advertised on their shirts so I enquired about them and their boss. Dave, came and gave us a price to complete the reform. He came and measured up and looked at all the work which needed doing and then said he will be in touch with the price the next day.
He gave us a price typed out with all the work which needed doing on headed paper. So Gill and I discussed the situation and decided to let D.D. Developments finish the job. They started straight away, first cleaning the mess up left behind.
All his workers are. qualified in their line of work, the tiling has been carried out to a very high standard, the electrics finished and put right, the carpenter fitted all the doors and windows, the plumber finished the plumbing and the plaster, well, it's like glass, it's perfect. We should have moved in by the time this is printed and we are so pleased that we got D. D. Developments in, we just wish we had got them in the first place, but that's life here in Spain, there are a lot of people who will rip you off, but we have to say D.D. Developments are not one of them. they stuck to their quoted price and now we have a lovely family home.
